Positive Self-Statement Log

Keep a log of all the positive things you do, think, say, and feel in a day. Write down, also, all the positive qualities you have, even if you don’t have them 100%. After you have a number of things written down take a good look at it: this is the evidence that you are not a failure, loser, or whatever other negative label you are applying to yourself. If this evidence is true, can the belief that you are no good be true? NO! So,
give up the faulty belief and believe the evidence.

1.  I did the laundry and now have some clean clothes to wear.
2.  I really wanted to tell that guy to go screw himself but I just kept quiet.
3.  I was patient today with my son who usually pushes my buttons.
4.  Today was very stressful and I am proud of the way I took some deep breaths
and gathered my thoughts before I responded at work.
5.  I am generally a kind person.
6.  Sara told me how much she appreciated my help yesterday.
7.  I really wanted to eat the whole plate of cookies but I stopped at just 3.
8.  I made myself go out of the house and be with people and I found I enjoyed it.
9.  I did really well on that project even though no one said anything to me about it.
10. I exercised 4 times this week!  That is my new record.
11. I learned how to manage some of my negative thinking and it is really helping me
to stay more upbeat and not get so down and negative so often.
12. I paid off some more of my loans and being more financially wise.
